This book is meant for embedded systems engineers. Those with some knowledge of digital electronics and microprocessor architecture can easily understand the concepts of embedded systems covered in this book. It covers three main areas of embedded systems: design, concept and programming. The author has provided every aspect of hardware, software and application domain, which are required to successfully build an embedded system. The first half of the book discusses the architecture, design & development, application & communication interface, database & mobile Java application, etc. The second half has some case studies with complete source code for developing a variety of applications that enable readers to get a better understanding of embedded systems development. 

An interesting thing about this book is that each chapter is written in points. Each point is accompanied by a brief description of what it means. Each chapter ends with a small exercise and a few questions that help the readers evaluate themselves. The visuals and diagrams make the textual concepts very easy to understand. This book comes with a CD that includes source code and embedded systems LAB manual.
