Every Government department has a need to collect information about the status of projects filed from offices in various formats. With a view to provide speedy format preparation and online collection of information and its management, NIC, Mumbai has developed this package, implemented on NICNET as a G2G package. So to address the need of this huge data gathering, a generic web-based module has been designed & developed keeping in mind the basic parameters of required formats and fields. SIMNIC is essentially a dynamic format building application, which generates the data entry screen on the fly, data collection and compilation is done as per the format design parameters. It addresses the need of status/progress of the data collection and preparation of MIS formats for circulating in the Government for its various projects/schemes for effective and quick decision-making. SIMNIC also ensures easy and timely submission of data from line departments, concurrency, compilation, consolidation etc. It also has a multi-lingual interface and feature enabled data collection available in scripts of most of the Indian language.
