Sutlej Textile Industries is located across different parts of the country.
The company needed a solution for managing its supply chain effectively as well
as manage the Human Resources. They also needed an online information reporting
system, which would give us visibility to their overall organizational health at
any point of time. The single biggest challenge was conceptualizing a solution
around Production Planning as the company's manufacturing processes are part
made-to-stock and part made to order. All these requirements led Sutlej to go
for SAP implementation.
The implementation was completed in record time of 7 months considering the four
different locations and complex and varied business processes.
Post-implementation there has been complete export related documentation in SAP
through OBT's EMS solution. Also, it spin plans and unique customized reports
and scripts.
There has been very good customized integration between HR payroll and
Production-Piece rate system as well. The company is planning to roll-out second
stage of the implementation for their other company, Birla Textile Mills at
Baddi, Himachal Pradesh.
