Fullerton was planning to go for a major expansion, and in the process gradually increase the number of users on thier messaging platform from 12,000 to 40,000 within 2 years. Earlier, Fullerton was using MS-Exchange for messaging. With the expansion in mind, a messaging solution, which was scalable, feature rich, and earning the best ROI was desired. An internal survey found that 80% of the users were using limited features of Exchange. Hence the concept of hybrid solution was conceived which would keep user experience the same.

After evaluating various vendors, the company decided to go for a Linux based mail server, Q-mail from Logix Systems. Within 2 days 9,000+ users were migrated on Q-mail without any down time on working system. As per the company, deployment has achieved huge savings on licensing cost, reduced spam, and managing the hybrid mailing system has become hassle-free.
