Integration and remote access of two isolated blocks of infrastructure for man power sharing using SSL VPN

This project was implemented for Ericsson employees who were sourced from Airtel to Ericsson roles after a strategic deal between both the companies (managed service contract). The aim of the project was to make sure that the in-sourced users could continue to sit at Airtel's premises working on the Airtel technical platforms, switches and products while also being a true part of the Ericsson organization. The challenge over here was that Ericsson (in-sourced) employees had to access both Airtel network as well as the Ericsson network (knowledge database, Email, intranet and software patches) for network control and management. Airtel and Ericsson worked closely to review the situation and worked out a solution at both ends to ensure that their employees are able to access the network resources in the most efficient manner. The key technology used in this deployment was a secure SSL VPN solution from Juniper which was used to connect both offices on a single virtual LAN environment. This allowed users access to remote equipment and resources securely and in a very convenient way.
