Digital Media Convergence Ltd (DMCL) is a part of the Essel Group that will facilitate the availability of digital content in India through www.popkorn.com . In it's endeavor to deliver cutting edge content and technology, DMCL decided to facilitate a web based entertainment video platform which will serve content to a global audience from television, movies, news, dramas, documentaries and professional content created by budding artists.

The website is built on the four pillars of an interactive convergence technology solution which allows consumer to personalize, socialize, integrate and be participative. The company faced challenges in terms of delivering a technology platform which is modular, easy to maintain, scalable. The entire project delivered right from ground up in 60 days.

There has been strictly adherence to MVC (Model View Controller) pattern with extensive usage of open source technology in building this site. The project is a first of its kind delivering professional entertainment video in the form of webisodes to consumers.
