The first quarter of the new fiscal not only witnessed the UPA coming back more strongly for the second successive term but also ignited the expectations of a buoyant economy of millions of small and mid-size business owners across India. This was the message coming out strongly from Jaipur, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Noida and Gurgaon; the latest venues for the SMB Forum juggernaut that keeps rolling from one FY quarter to the other, thus reaching out to key IT decision makers across tier-2 & 3 cities across India. Through this chain of events PCQuest strives to understand the problems faced by local SMBs and bring the local talent pool together to teach others on how IT can be used to alleviate those problems. The event typically spans over four hours in the evening and is organized as an intuitive mix of speaker sessions from PCQuest and its associate partners, rounded up with an open discussion on the prevailing economic scenario in the city. The panelists include experts from the local industry and IT solution providers, who are part of the event. The common paint points that come across these discussions are that SMB industry, though under severe cost crunch, looks upto IT to make its processes more efficient.
