With so many social networks available these days, it's apparently not possible to manually track feedbacks and comments about a particular product, company or even a person.

Techrigy provides a web based solution called SM2, which is a social media analysis and monitoring tool. It can gather content from various social networks, blogs, microblogs, wikis etc. One of the best parts of this solution is the analysis tools it comes with. Based on the search results, it does daily volume analysis, demographics analysis, author tag cloud etc. All these analyses are done in real time by the solution, based on the search results it has gathered. SM2 can also perform sentiment analysis where it tries to identify whether opinions coming from the users are positive or negative. Under sentiment analysis, it identifies tone of the content as well as emotions. It also allows results as well as analysis to be exported in HTML, TXT, XLS and XML format.

SM2 is available in free as well as paid versions. In its free version, search results are limited to 1,000 and search phrases are limited to 5. It has various options including custom option. In its platinum pack, searches are limited to 20,000 with unlimited search phrases for a price of $500 monthly.

In SM2 you can also view posts made according to the media type.

How to use ?
Using SM2 is really simple. You can sign up for a free account on Techrigy website. Go to search setup page and choose the option 'New search wizard'. The wizard will first ask you to choose the type of search phrase which might be the name of a person, product or anyhting associated with the product. In the next step, you need to provide the search term. Here you can also get a preview of search results by clicking on 'Get sample results'. Next, assign the category and choose the time period for which you want to see the results. Once you have finished the wizard, you can choose to run the searches right away or schedule it for later. Once the search is finished, you can explore analysis of results from 'Reports' menu. This is very simple to use. All you need to do is click on option, and it will automatically generate analysis from the search results.

For instance, if you want the analysis of results by media type, go to 'Share of voice' option and select media type. This will show in graphs how many results were found in blogs, wiki, forums etc. Similarly you can explore other analysis options as well as generate reports.
