The tourism industry of Rajasthan is mainly based on: the royal forts and palaces, and the great wildlife. And this project was taken up by Rajasthan government to strengthen the wildlife reserves. The main goal was to create a website where safari bookings for Ranthambore, Sariska and Bhagalpur forests can be made by the tourists using credit cards and a reservation ticket is generated automatically. The tourist can then take a print out of the ticket and get the boarding pass (which is also generated automatically) from the forest office with minimal hassles. The main reason for deploying this project was to eliminate the intervention of middle men in the process who were charging a huge amount of commission. The project has made the whole booking process more transparent and hassle free for tourists coming from across the globe. After the deployment, the biggest challenge faced was in managing the hotel staff and middle men who had been black mailing prior to its deployment. The other challenge was to make the forest offices connected so that they can access and verify the tickets and generate the boarding pass for tourists.
