To enhance deployments in IT, electricity is a major requirement. However, consumption of fossil fuel and natural resources on earth is a global issue, with most of them being utilized for power generation or transport. In fact, 85% of today's energy consumption is derived from the combustion of fossil fuels. So the company leaned on solar power. Solar panels with small wind turbines feeding batteries connected to Inverters/PCUs were deployed. These devices act as primary/alternate resources for branches during the day as well evening through backup batteries. For every five locations, one system support is an imperative and conducive model across India, where cost effectiveness and time taken to reach, to ensure 99.99% uptime for every five locations are prime motivators. Wind direction and clearance of the same onsite along with proper solar panel placement was the biggest challenge while installation, not ignoring the height of wind turbines & space on terrance. Calibration of devices as per requirements and interconnection with UPS were other issues. Today branches are successfully running with these power resources not only helping to reduce the electric bills but also helping to save conventional energy for future and keep the environment pollution free. Benefits to the stakeholders-Automatic switchover; system availability during non power hours; online query solution; improved services from the staff for infrastructure; and a pollution free environment. Power availability empowers organizations during the working hours to improve the productivity of users and service to customers as well to avoid work during non-working hours.
