Mudra communications offers integrated communication services through its platforms.

Mudra and DDB Mudra (advertising), Mudra Max (integrated communication planning and implementaiton), Mudra Heath & Lifestyle and Water (brand strategy and design consultant).

The key factor that led to this implementation was that most of the strategic buisness unit (SBU) heads were not able to use the existing buisness applications effectively. It was not possible to have consolidated reports on multiple businesses applications and hence they had to rely on commercial heads instead. This again led to unneccessary usage of resources.

The key technical challenge that they faced during the process was to build simple, intuitive and yet powerful browser based UI using Adobe Flex. Another challenge they faced was that there was no trained man power. Hence they had to self-learn the applications.

They also faced some non-technical issues, such as the SBU's  heads were used to getting the information from their commercial heads, there was initial reluctance to use the system and SBU heads were comfortable viewing hard copy printouts rather than accessing the information on-line.

Finally, they have implemented the project and the major benefit they have gained out of it is that now, SBU heads can extract the relevant information accurately on their own, anytime anywhere thus helping in effective decision making.
