A performance printer that could do with some better features. The best performer compared to the other two in the category, it lost out due to the lack of a provision for an auto duplexer, lowest duty cycle of 15000 pages per month and a comparatively high printing cost of Re 1 per page. Also, the 1 year warranty it offers is much lower than the winners.

The printer comes with MarkVision professional printer management utility. Installation and configuration of MarkVision print server is a little complicated but once you have configured it you can easily manage and install it on client machines. You can configure different options for the printer like e-mail alerts, control panel lock, etc. The special thing about the printer is that its drivers and software can be remotely installed on computers on your network. You just need the remote computers' user name and password for authentication. It also has an optional network port for external 802.11b wireless connectivity.

In our performance tests it racked up speeds of upto 25 ppm, with very good quality. As a matter of fact, the quality of printing was the best in our line art and gradient tests.

Thus, if you can do without an auto duplexer, go for this printer in your workgroup.
