There was a time when photo management was all about having software that would display your images as thumbnails. Times have changed and people need much more now. The demand for a complete photo-management solution to properly and intelligently organize tons of digital media is on the rise. At the same time they also need capabilities of advanced image editing, printing and publishing. The big players in the business have tapped this very need and have come up with their own solutions for this purpose. Many of them not only catalogue your collection, they even edit images while still in their raw formats and handle other media files like audio and video. ACD Systems, Adobe, Jasc Software, Google etc are now going head-on. With a sea of such software to choose from, we tested some of the most popular and fully-featured packages. We've divided it into two : Priced and Free, and chose the best one in each.
