F-Secure Client Security 7 provides a high level of protection to your corporate workstations. It integrates antivirus, firewall, antispyware, rootkit scanning, behavior monitoring system (HIPS) and virus news in one product. An IT administrator can remotely install the F-Secure client
security on any workstation after installing the policy manager console.

Like F-Secure Internet security suite 2007 (reviewed March2007), this one also has support for Deepguard for monitoring suspicious program behavior. We tested it with latest viruses, malware, launched nmap, and ran a DOS attack. We first attacked one of the workstations with viruses and installed malware on another workstation. It detected them in real time. We then launched an nmap attack. Even the DOS attack was detected and reported. The only area of concern is that when we installed zipped viruses, it just detected them but was not able to heal or quarantine them. So if you install its standalone version then you will only be able to know that your system has been attacked but won't be able to fix it. To fix any attack, you need the support of policy manager.

Bottom Line: It's slightly overpriced, nevertheless a good option given its remote monitoring capability.

Price: Rs 2,300 per user
Key Specs: Antivirus, firewall, Deepguard for extra malware protection, remote monitoring of attacks on any workstation
