A fter scrutinizing a number of devices running on the Intel' Atom processor last month, got another one from Wipro. As we took out the Netbook from the box, we were amazed by its design. It isn't an ugly one and neither flawed. The only extraordinary thing about the design was that it was absolutely the same as the MSI Wind or the LG x110. It seems like all the three manufacturers use the exact same casing for their Netbooks.

The Netbook is extremely comfortable to use. The intelligently spaced keys and a wide enough touchpad make using this device a very hassle free experience. Weighing only a little more than a kg, the Netbook is extremely light and portable. Thanks to the tiny size and an energy efficient design of the Atom processor, devices running on it are meant to deliver good battery backups and are powerful enough to run basic productivity apps. This one managed to last for around 2 hours 10 minutes when we ran Battery Mark on it with the screen brightness set at the highest level. Which is decent considering it's 3 cell battery.

Price: Rs INR 26500 (1 Year Multi City Onsite Warranty - 24 / 7 Multilingual Technical Support)
Key Specs: Intel Atom Processor, 1GB RAM, Windows XP, 3USB.2.0, 160 GB HDD, 1.13 kgs, card reader
Contact: Wipro (Infotech)
Tel: 09811087669,

SMS Buy 131299 to 56677

The standard set of features on this one is similar to most of the Netbooks that we have reviewed before. It comes with a 10.1' display and its features include three USB 2.0 ports, a card reader, VGA out and an Ethernet port. The only thing missing is a six cell battery which is a standard feature on the Asus EeePC at the same price

Bottomline: The device is easy to use and has a standard set of features but is a little costly.
